Santa Barbara Botanic
Gardens are located in a canyon above the mission
in Santa Barbara. On a clear day you can see the mountains
and the ocean from the gardens. There are several historic
landmarks including the Aqueduct, Indian Steps, the Caretaker's
Cottage, and the Campbell Bridge. The
garden's plant collections, are featured on 65 acres accessible
by over 5.5 miles of public trails. Santa Barbara Botanic
Gardens are a wonderful place to spend a few hours while
you visit the central coast. This section of the California
coast is one of the most scenic areas of the Golden State.
Plan on spending several days here.
