Santa
Barbara Botanic Gardens are located in a canyon above the mission
in Santa Barbara. On a clear day you can see the mountains
and the ocean from the gardens. There are several historic
landmarks including the Aqueduct, Indian Steps, the Caretaker's
Cottage, and the Campbell Bridge. The
garden's plant collections, are featured on 65
acres accessible by over 5.5 miles of public trails. Santa
Barbara Botanic Gardens are a wonderful place to spend
a few hours while you visit the central coast. This section
of the California coast is one of the most scenic areas
of the Golden State. Plan on spending several days here.
