Fisherman's Wharf and Aquatic Park - Eat some fresh crab and see the fishing boats. Tours of Alcatraz Island and the bay leave from here. The Maritime National Historic Park is at the west end of wharf. Car parking is very expensive, consider public transportation.
San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace - Located along the Embarcadero at the end of Market Street the restored building house numerous shops and restaurants. A farmers market is open four days a week —Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Muir Woods National Monument - West coast redwood trees dominate Muir Woods. There are several trails that offer a variety of habitats, terrain, and degree of hiking difficulty. Today the woods are a reminder of the way much of the Marin County land once appeared.
Winchester Mystery House - Sarah Winchester built a home that is an architectural marvel a 160-room Victorian mansion with three working elevators, and 47 fireplaces. Three different tours are available of the house.

San Francisco Chinatown -The largest chinatown outside of Asia is about eight blocks and has two long main streets, Grant and Stockton. Here you will find souvenir shops, antique stores and restaurants.
