Huntington
Beach, California

| Huntington
Beach, also called Surf City, is one of the most visited beaches in
Southern California. Bordered on the north by Bolsa Chica and Seal
Beach, on the south, by Newport Beach. Once
a sleepy oil town and later a surfer hang out. Today Huntington Beach
is remaking its self as a west coast resort destination. High
rise hotels and trendy malls have all but replaced the surf shops
and old buildings.
Huntington Beach has a huge wide sandy beach. Most people tend to
stay around the pier and the further away from the pier the more beach
space you get. On busy holiday weekends the entire coast will be packed
with people. During the off season you can walk for miles and only
encounter a few surfers and seagulls. One off the most popular activities
is riding or strolling the beach trail which stretches from Bola Chica
State Beach all the way to Newport Beach. You can spend the day or
an entire vacation and will never run out of things to do. Huntington
Beach is one of California's best beach destinations. |
