Griffith Observatory Los Angeles California

Griffith Observatory has been a Los Angeles landmark since it was dedicated in May 14, 1935. For many years people came from all over the world to marvel at the structure sitting on top of Mt. Hollywood. The observatory was closed in 2002 for a major renovation. In 2006 the building was reopened with huge crowds and a reservation system in order to visit the observatory. Now visitors can drive up to the top of the mountain and no reservations are needed. Admission to the Griffith Observatory is free however parking is very limited especially on weekends.
