Crystal Cove Beach, California - Located between Newport and Laguna Beach this beach includes the largest undeveloped stretch of beach in Orange County. The cottages on the bluff were built in the 1920s and '30s and sold to California Department of Parks in 1979. Restoration is under way with 22 rehabilitated, and 13 available for rental. The offshore waters are designated as an underwater park with excellent conditions for scuba and skin divers .Visitors can explore tide pools and sandy coves or just kick back on the sand and take in the wonderful scenery. Parking is off Pacific Coast Highway. A short walk through a tunnel underneath PCH brings you to the cottages and beach. Saturday at 8 am the parking lot for Crystal Cove turns into an impromptu exotic car show for locals to show off their vehicles.
